The Addition of Value Added services (VAS).

Value added services are applications and services that run on top of a good robust network. Vlocity has teamed up with various Value Add resellers to provide the communication tools for those services.

VAS cover a wide range of products including:

• Accounting systems and remote desktop applications
• Offf-Site and Disaster recovery Backup systems.
• Central Email distribution and Archiving
• Central VOIP Call Centres
• Database Co-Location services
• Web and Application Hosting

Our wireless connections are all connected to our own backbone. This allows us to be more flexable in terms of inter-company and inter-branch connections. Instead of a link being used for a single purpose (e.g. broadband) a link can be combined to offer extended services. e.g. a client having multiple branches, can use the same links to contact a common colocated server running on our network, as well as use the same link to access the internet and other services.

VAS services are designed to reduce your connectivity costs. Often the VAS has the benefit of saving large sums of money which often pays for the implimentation of the initial infrastructure. Becauae we dont have the benefit of large sums of public cash, we have to find innovative ways to sell our product. In order to prevent the client paying a premium, the more we can make use of VAS on the same infrastructure, the better value the client gets using it.

Examples of this could be restaurant chains using the infrastructure to provide Local Hotspot internet access, while at the same time using the system to provide centralised billing and accounting services..
