Spread it like a WildFire.
The concept is that we can create a neighborhood connection. Using existing connection points, or creating new ones for a region, we have a facility where multiple users can connect using one single connection point from us.
Each of our connection points are capable of handling multiple individual connections. Each of these connected users is private (Unless shared points are requested)
Wildfire is a derivative of our hotspot software (RadSpot). Using Wildfire, existing clients can add a small amount of equipment and make the same connection point available to other users without impacting on the existing connection. In this way you are able to earn money on your connection by sharing revenues on other random or ad hoc connections on the same point.
All our connections are external, usually sitting on a house, high wall or other high point in the vicinity. By adding an additional antenna to the existing installation, this point can be turned into a shared point or relay.
Standard wireless devices can then connect to this. The range of these standard devices is not that high. So only immediate (few hundred meters) devices can connect. In order to overcome the limitations of these standard devices you can extend the range in various ways.
- Run cable from the closest point
- Create a "Mesh" using multiple wireless routers that are connected in WDS mode
- Get a High Gain Antena that can connect over longer distances
So effectively a connection point can become a relay point or Hub for a cluster of locally connected computers, networks etc. A Single point is then capable of servicing an entire community. The primary point is setup and configured by us, and the rest is then added on to expand the network.
The Wildfire software will manage independent logins and bandwidth allocation to each connected device. Speed and traffic is unaffected to each independent user. So each user gets his/her own exclusive access package.
Bridged connections are also possible. In the event that users want to do intersite gaming or other communication requirements, the system is able to cater for this.
