Business in a Box (BIAB) is an end-user product. Small business and home-based business have a general requirement for good internet services as well as some of the trappings usually associated with larger companies, such as inter-branch linking, fax services, low cost VoIP services and so forth.

The BIAB service is all these tools wrapped into a single package from Vlocity.

While wireless installations tend to be more expensive than standard ADSL, wireless can provide so much more.   A single wireless connection is capable of transfer speeds of up to 20 Mbps. This means we can run our added services over and above the standard broadband internet services.

BIAB strives to provide additional value added services in order to create savings for the business, therefore paying for the additional cost of the installation in savings.

A typical value added service would be VoIP, which can provide considerable savings on cellular, national and international calls. The VoIP service can provide multiple lines for small switchboards, single phones and fax lines among others.

By deploying the BIAB into the ISPIAB model, the user gains the benefit of having localised live email systems on their local ISP and web hosting services. In addition, there are accounting systems, off–site archiving and various other value added services provided by either the local ISP or the primary Vlocity central VAS system.

The BIAB service can have major implications in long term savings. Warehousing costs are a lot lower than office space costs. Users can work from home, interlinked via the network. Telephone extensions can span our network, minimising the need to have a warehouse with office space. Small enterprises benefit by having efficient services in a small home environment but are able to service large products at a lower cost.

BIAB uses monthly savings on other services to reduce or eradicate the cost of actually connecting to the Internet. In the long term, as we get faster and better services, the BIAB service can be upgraded. Users focus on their business, we focus on their requirements.
